SkillShare – How To Draw Faces – Female Heads- Downward and Upward Angles – Three Quarter View
Your project for this class is to apply what you’ve learned throughout this lesson with some drawing studies of the female head from the top down and bottom up, three quarter perspective.
Go back through the demonstration and carefully observe the method of construction used throughout it to establish the foundations for your own female heads. Keep in mind the foundations are meant to capture the proportions, placement and scale of the head, along with its facial features. All of these aspects will be affected by the perspective the head is being presented in.
Observe the shape of the head, face and facial features in each of these views carefully. The way they’re presented will be specific to the angle the head is being observed on, but by understanding its three dimensional structure and forms you’ll begin to understand why, and how you can properly present these features as the head turns in space.
